Having returned to racing in competitive form this time, Winx ($4.20) has opened as and maintained status as outright favourite in 2015 Australian Oaks betting markets ahead of Fenway ($6) and Thunder Lady ($6.50) with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Will Winx justify favouritism and win the 2015 Australian Oaks, or will one her of classy rivals find the line in the clear?

Thunder Lady ($6.50)

Thunder Lady has steadily built to the task this season and will find Saturday’s Australian Oaks in peak racing condition. Stamping her claims as a serious racing contender over the Spring Carnival in taking out the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes (2000m) and finishing second in the Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m), the Mastercraftsman filly placed fifth in the Group 3 Keith F Nolan Classic (1600m) and third in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) in her two most recent starts and is sure to be boosted by the addition of Zac Purton this weekend.

Savaria ($8)

The standout filly of the current New Zealand three-year-old crop, Savaria is aiming to replicate the feats of country-mare Rising Romance in 2014 and win the Australian Oaks. Winning the Insurance Pearl Series Maiden (1400m) first-up on January 1st, the Savabeel filly finished in the minor places through her two next starts before taking out both the Group 3 Lowland Stakes (2100m) and Group 1 New Zealand Oaks (2400m) on March 14th. While charged with overcoming the wide barrier 12, Kiwi hoop James McDonald has been confirmed to take the ride and is confident of a competitive performance.

Gust Of Wind ($15)

Gust Of Wind boxed on for a commendable fourth in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) on Monday and is sure to have received an ideal tune-up from the run ahead of the Australian Oaks. Having placed fourth in a Seymour Maiden (1009m) on debut in December, the Darci Brahma returned for success in each of her first two starts this time before making her black type debut in the Adrian Knox Stakes. Allocated the central barrier 7, Gust Of Wind has been confirmed to be partnered by Tye Angland.
